Choose the best option for your 2021.
Option A: Joe was dropped, alone, into the Amazon jungle on a one month survival challenge. He was provided with:
- state of the art equipment to keep him safe
- basic ingredients to make his meals, and
- raw materials to create shelter, heat and clean water.
Joe had never been on a survival challenge or in the jungle before, and it was up to him to figure out how and when to use what he was given to stay safe and alive.
Option B: Julia was dropped in the same jungle 10 miles away from Joe, also alone. She was given all of the same equipment. But she was given two extra things:
- a map of the area she was in, pointing out dangers, pathways, and natural resources
- radio access to a guide who’d been leading people through this jungle for over 20 years
Imagine being Joe.
Imagine being Julia.
If your goal was not just to survive but to have a great time in the jungle, who would you rather be?
Who were you in 2020?
For plenty of people, maybe even you, 2020 felt more like Joe’s experience than Julia’s. “Where have I landed, and how do I make it through today?” So many challenges were new and demanded great effort. On many days, you had to make it up as you went.
How do you think 2021’s challenges will compare to your 2020?
Easier? Equally challenging? More difficult?
What if you had a map and a guide in 2021?
What if you understood how to navigate unavoidable challenges more skillfully in 2021?
I’ve been guiding leaders to succeed during times of disruptive change since 1996. To help you in 2021, I created a short training video with simple, practical maps to help you make sense of your challenging experiences in 2020.
Understanding what happened to you in 2020 can create more success—and more ease—in your 2021.
The maps and tools in the video are a part of a program to build your resilience, confidence, and clarity. It’s called Mind to Win. At the end of the video, you’ll have the opportunity to become Julia in real life with the real-life maps and guidance I provide to the executives I work with.
This year, I’d like to help you be your best self, skillfully, even when the danger feels high.
The group has already started to form. If you’re interested, read more here.
